Ordinary Diploma in Travel and Tourism (NTA 4-6)
Duration: Three (03) years
The Diploma in Travel and Tourism is a comprehensive Three-year programme that is tailored to prepare students for careers in the Travel and Tourism Industry. The Program provides the students with requisite entrepreneurial, marketing and operational competencies necessary for Travel and Tourism Management. The learner is exposed to at least one foreign language to enable them operate in the global Tourism Industry which is multilingual.
The program entails both practical and theoretical training coupled with industrial attachment in tour companies, travel agencies, TANAPA, airlines and other appropriate organizations.
The objective of this programme is to train competent young men and women who are aspiring to develop their careers in travel and tourism.
Graduates of this programme who wish to further their studies can acquire qualification to join Bachelor degree in various Universities.
- Holders of certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with four (4) passes in non-religious subjects. OR
- Holders of Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Travel and Tourism Operation, Tour guiding operations, Tourism Management, Tourism and Marketing, Wildlife Conservation and Cultural Tourism With 2.0 GPA and above OR
- Holders of Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary.
Tour & Travel Agencies, Tour Guide, National Parks in Tanzania & East Africa, Freelance Tour Guide, Museums and Historical Sites, Tourist Information Centre, Hotel, Tourism Authorities or Organizations, Airlines, Airport, Exhibitions, Destination Management Companies Conservation Organizations, College Tutors.
